Self taught pianist and composer, Mouton, has recently released his debut solo CD “Storm Front.” Classical genres with a touch of new age, Mouton’s compositions reflect that of Shostakovich, with his use of dissonance and Debussy, with his light and airy dynamic and feel.
While I can appreciate the rawness and originality of Mouton’s songs and performance, nevertheless, the rhythm was often inconsistent and the hands were not always coordinated to perfection. The emotion of the music is certainly present but Mouton could improve his technical skills.
